With E3 little over a month away, next generation speculation continues to rise. Along with this, many current and next-gen games have been hogging the spotlight from some recent video game releases. So read on and celebrate all the games that silently made their way into store shelves these past few months.
1. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, or Sly 4, launched on February 5th, making it the first Sly game to be released in 8 years (!). This time around, the developers at Sanzaru games constructed the action/stealth platformer in place of Sucker Punch studios.
Sanzaru did an excellent job staying true to the series' overall setting and gameplay mechanics. Sly 4's story continues from where the last game left off, offering a memorable return to a beloved classic.
2. Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed
So I know this game wasn't necessarily released in 2013, but it does deserve a mention. Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed took everything its predecessor did wrong and did it right. What resulted was a racing game that set new standards for the genre. Better yet is the roster of familiar faces - including characters from a number of classics (Jet Set Radio comes to mind).
3. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3
The latest Naruto based brawler is a hit with the core fanbase, but it doesn't seem to get as much attention as it deserves. Whether you're a fan of the manga/anime series or not, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 provides a top of the notch action fighting game worthy of joining your collection.
That's all the games for now. If you've got any under appreciated games you'd like mentioned in the next list, feel free to post away in the comments. See you next time!
